FLCC is a Division III non scholarship school that competes in the Mid
State Athletic Conference. In addition they travel across the state
playing a competitive non conference schedule. The Lakers play in a
spacious modern facility that is generally regarded as the most
attractive in the conference.
The Laker's qualified for the Region III playoffs for the 5th
consecutive season under coach Richard Jones. The 2006-2007 season
marked the third consecutive 20 win campaign for FLCC. They finished
second in the Mid State conference and first in scoring defense for the
third consecutive season.

Richard Jones was named District 1 and New York State Junior College Coach of the year for the 2005-2006 season.
He has guided the Lakers to 4 consecutive post season playoff bids since taking over the program in 2002.
He previously spent 17 years coaching at four different high schools in the states of New York and North Carolina. Jones’ teams have won numerous championships and six of his players have gone on to play at the Division I level.

FLCC ended their season at 21-11 with a loss to Herkimer in the Region III semi-finals. The Lakers reached the semi-finals for only the
4th time in school history, but the second time in three years. FLCC
reached the semi-finals with a 74-69 win over Broome which avenged a 20
point regular season defeat. Dom Mazzocchi (freshman, Geneva) had career
high in points (29) and rebounds (17). Post season honors included:
Brandon Williams (first team all conference / second team all region),
Jordan Koch (second team all conference / third team all region).
